SanThome Public School Hosts Grand Annual Function ‘Spectra’
SanThome Public School, Badridham Nagar, celebrated its Annual Function, ‘Spectra’, with great enthusiasm and joyous fervour. The vibrant event witnessed an impressive gathering of distinguished guests, parents, teachers, and students making it a memorable evening for all present.
The programme was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Rev.Thomas John, vicar of Mar Thoma church and Manager of Mar Thoma Group of Schools and the Guest of Honour, Smt. Jyoti Sharma, IAS, CEO, Zila Panchayat, Dewas.
The dignitaries were accorded a warm and respectful welcome by the President Mr. Sunil Thomas and Director Mrs. Hansy Thomas. The evening commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge and enlightenment.
An Award Ceremony for Academic Achievers was held to honour students who displayed outstanding scholastic excellence.
The programme formally began with an opening prayer led by Rev. Riju John Thomas. Subsequently, young student anchors, confidently took charge of the anchoring and conducted the programme with remarkable poise. It was truly commendable to witness students between the ages of 2½ and 9½ years exhibiting sheer confidence and enthusiasm on stage.
The cultural segment opened with a graceful prayer dance, which set a serene, divine, and joyful tone for the evening. The programme reflected the school’s commitment to holistic education and provided a delightful platform for students to showcase their talents.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Rev.Thomas John emphasised that children closely observe the behaviour of their parents and tend to imbibe the same, which later becomes an integral part of their character. He urged parents to be mindful, responsible, and attentive to their own conduct, as it plays a crucial role in shaping their children’s values and personality.The Guest of Honour, Smt. Jyoti Sharma, highlighted that along with academic excellence, it is equally important to nurture qualities that make one a good human being.
The Annual Function “Spectra” concluded on a high note, leaving the audience with cherished memories and a sense of pride in the young performers. A note of gratitude was proposed by Mrs. Somali Ghosh, Headmistress San Thome Public School.
